Every once in a while, you stumble into a restaurant expecting an average-ass meal and end up wondering why the hell you've been wasting your money elsewhere. Original American Kitchen is one of those places. Located in Gainesville, this joint doesn't bother with pretentious bullshit. There's no chef standing in the corner explaining how your burger was spiritually inspired by a free-range cow that listened to jazz. They just make damn good food and serve the hell out of it. Let's talk about the burgers first. Holy fucking shit. These burgers are massive, juicy, and packed with flavor. The beef is cooked right, the toppings are fresh, and the whole thing comes together like a beautiful greasy masterpiece. Every bite basically says, "Yeah, that's why people keep coming back."
