Brown's Country Buffet - Alachua, Florida
Listen, I’m not exaggerating when I say this was one of the damn best buffets I’ve ever shoved my face at for legit home-cooked food. New people took over and it is not the same. The fried chicken was amazing before the takeover, now it's just OK. The chicken tastes decent, its just not what I am used to. Tucked in Alachua, this place was a freaking gem. Yeah, it gets busy as hell at lunch, so prepare to park your ass in the back forty. But here’s the kicker, somehow I’ve never had to wait for a table, even when it’s packed like a can of fucking sardines. There are three whole sections, so seating’s never a pain in the balls. Okay, the decor’s seen better decades, it could use a serious update, but who the hell cares when the food is this good. The staff are sweet as pie and on top of their game.
