Stone House Neighborhood Grill, Newberry, FL
Stone House is a restaurant in Newberry, FL, and the place looks fresh as hell inside. It’s kinda small, not gonna lie, but they spaced the tables out nicely so you’re not elbow-to-elbow with some random dude chewing like a maniac. Cozy? Yes. Claustrophobic? Not at all.
I went for dinner and ordered the petite 6 oz. sirloin with a Caesar salad and white cheddar mashed potatoes. The salad was damn near perfect, crunchy croutons, legit parmesan, and just the right amount of Caesar dressing so it wasn’t swimming in that shit. Whoever made that salad gave a damn.
The steak? Seasoned well and tasty as hell. Cooked right, no complaints there. The mashed potatoes though? Yeah… not my thing at all. Just wasn’t vibing with them. They might be someone else’s jam, but for me? Hard pass.
The server was kind and attentive without hovering like a helicopter parent, and the staff overall seemed really nice. The place has a bar if you’re trying to sip something strong and forget about your week. The menu’s got a solid variety, apps, salads, steaks, ribs, chicken, fish, and yes, there’s dessert, because why the hell not? They’ve even got a decent kids menu for the little gremlins.
