Dave's New York Style Deli - Newberry, Florida

This place is awesome as hell. I’ve already been twice, which should tell you something right there. It’s located at Tioga Town Center in Jonesville, and yeah… it’s worth the damn trip.

Dave’s has indoor dining and a small outdoor area for when the Florida weather isn’t trying to roast you alive. The menu? Stacked. I’m talking hot and cold subs, bagels, pastrami, corned beef, salads, and a whole bunch of other delicious shit that’ll have you standing there like, “Well damn, what the fuck do I order?”

I went with the Grilled Chicken Parmesan and a side of potato salad. The food came out fast as hell (which is clutch when you’re starving), and it was seriously good. The chicken parm had the perfect amount of sauce and cheese, not drowning in it, not skimpy either. Just right. Whoever’s back there cooking clearly gives a damn and should get an award..

The menu is big, with so many subs to choose from it’s almost stressful in the best possible way. The side dishes are legit too, not some sad afterthought thrown on the plate. It’s kid-friendly, but they’ve also got beer and wine for the grown folks who need a little something-something with their sandwich.

The place is clean, the staff is friendly as hell, and overall it just feels like they’re doing things right. In my opinion, this is the best damn deli in the area. Straight-up quality food.

Yeah, I recommend this place. Actually, fuck that, I highly recommend it.

  Listen, I’m not exaggerating when I say this was one of the damn best buffets I’ve ever shoved my face at for legit home-cooked food. New people took over and it is not the same.   The Woodyard Grill, what can I say, the place has been around for a bit, does it have it's shit together? I went for lunch and was honestly impressed as hell with what they did to the building. It’s nice, inviting, and doesn’t look like a place you’d regret walking into. When you pull into the parking lot, the smell alone punches you in the face (in the best possible way) and makes you want to order one of everything like some kind of hungry fucking maniac. The open bar and outdoor patio? Absolute badass addition. Newberry needed that shit. We ended up eating inside, and the place was busy as hell , which is always a good sign. Skip's Delicatessen - Lake Butler, Florida

Skip’s Delicatessen is hands-down one of my favorite damn places to eat in Lake Butler. I finally made it there for lunch with some friends, and let me tell you, I should’ve hauled my ass there sooner. The menu is big as hell, packed with more sandwich options than you can reasonably process without short-circuiting. Every kind of lunch meat you can think of is ready to go. Turkey? Yup. Ham? Obviously. Roast beef? You bet your hungry ass. They’ve also got meatball subs and Italian sausage subs that’ll make you question every sad desk lunch you’ve ever eaten. They’ve got salads if you’re feeling responsible, cookies if you’re not, and a bunch of other good stuff to round it out. But let’s talk about the real MVP, the chips. You can get a basket of chips loaded up with pepperings and seasoning on top, and holy crap are they addictive.
