Luke's New York Begals - Gainesville, Florida
I finally stopped by Luke’s New York Bagels, and holy shit, this place might actually be one of the most dangerous breakfast spots in Gainesville if you’re trying not to become emotionally dependent on bread. The second you walk in, the smell of fresh bagels punches you directly in the soul like a warm carb-loaded haymaker from New York itself. The reviews online are mixed with this fucking place, so I wanted to experience it myself. Now let’s get one thing straight. Half the places in Florida claiming they have “authentic New York bagels” are completely full of shit. Most of them taste like stale hamburger buns somebody accidentally boiled for 30 seconds, then farted on it. But Luke’s? These damn things are legit. The outside has that perfect little crunch, while the inside stays soft, chewy, and dense enough to make you feel full for the next damn century.
