I finally made my way over to Tinker Restaurant on Main St., and this place honestly feels like Gainesville finally decided to get its shit together without turning into some overpriced fake fancy nightmare. Some restaurants just throw food at you and hope the lighting distracts you from the fact the meal tastes like microwaved bullshit. This place actually has a vibe and the food backs it up. The second you walk in, there’s energy everywhere, people talking loud, drinks moving around, music hitting just enough without blowing your damn ears out. It feels alive instead of one of those dead restaurants where everyone looks miserable waiting for their fucking food. The menu has a lot going on, but somehow it doesn’t turn into a confusing cluster fuck. Everything actually feels thought out.
